When we sit on an armchair, sofa or chair, these dominant objects actually are filled and disappear. Magically, other objects that usually serve the person seating, enter into the spotlight. These humble objects, such as side tables, reading lamps footstools and shelvings, which usually are taken for granted and are there to provide you with extra comfort, become the center of attention. In our exhibition we pay attention to these secondary objects, and allow ourselves to explore and experiment.

Tal Gur exhibits a hiding and storage object with expressive look. Eilon Armon side tables function as objects for conveying wishes and thoughts. Galit Shvo piles up small containers on the wall to allow for storage for the little items that can't be actually arranged and offers her version of folded side tables. Wily Mizrahi slices wood and iconic wood statues to produce side tables.
Gad Charny creates lamps made of paper boats that sails in the air and create an atmosphere. Safi Hefetz, borrows from the known 3 side tables archetype and creates 3 different objects that serve the person seating in an armchair, and can be folded into one. Elisha Tal uses the bitmap as inspiration for side table that made of two pieces that can be rearranged in different shapes. Naama Steinbock and Idan Friedman for Reddish Studio, produce reading lamps made of old furniture and blur the boundaries between furniture and light fixtures.
